[RSS Feed/News] Adding a support URL on the first release of an add-on?

Quick question. If I have a new add-on that hasn't been released on this site yet and therefore doesn't have the automatically created support thread yet, do I have to release the add-on first, then get the URL of the thread, then add it to addon.json, then immediately release a new version of the add-on that contains the URL?
