I am attempting to change the color behind the user name, conversation, messaging, and search links on the nav bar. Note the dark blue:

It doesn't appear to be a background color because removing the background in Appearance, Styles, Default Style, Style Properties, Header and Navigation, Navigation Row results in:
What is darkening the background? Assistance is appreciated.
