[RSS Feed/News] How to delete old attachments?

I have googled this but found nothing obvious. Is there a way of deleting all attachments more than say 5 years old? And is there a way of setting up a cron job or something to do that on a regular basis. The attachment browser obviously let you do that a few at a time but I want to remove many thousands.
