I tried writing some simple CSS into extra.less, but nothing changed, are there any docs that have all the classes?

Make sure if your changing stuff your using the !important tag on your Extra.less

In the Template file, you specify the class value, and then enter in the extra.CSS file, its influence will take precedence.
However, if you want to set new parameters as an existing class value, do not put it in extra.css.
