Importing in several stages with Import Tools by Waindigo - For importing with minimal downtime, use Import Tools by Waindigo to import in two or more stages.

The following video shows an example of a two-stage import from phpBB 3.0.11 to XenForo 1.2.1 with Import Tools by Waindigo installed. Inbetween the first and second stage, a thread is created on phpBB, and this is then imported in the second stage without causing any duplicated content...
