[RSS Feed/News] Link Thread Type (especially in Article Forums)

Would love to have a "Link" Thread Type in Article Forums (or everywhere), similar to what Reddit allows.

• Thread Title Field
• URL Field

Link Threads would:

• Use thumbnail as cover image
• Use excerpt as content
• Use base URL as the User
• Use favicon as the Avatar
• Show "Submitted by:" to credit the User who posted it

Does something like this already exist? If not, I'll delete and move to custom add-on requests.
