Currently we do not show the newsfeed in a very present way on out forum (and we would like to keep it that way 
). As a result, some users might not even be aware of the existence of it. In order to get a bit more attention to it, it would be nice if it could be included in the options one can set for notfications. I was actually a little bit surprised that the newsfeed wasn't included at all, but there might be a good reason for it that I'm not aware of.
