[RSS Feed/News] Push Notification Notice seems to be persistent

Members on my forum are dismissing the recommendation for push notifications, then clicking on "Never ask again" in the following dialog box, but the push notication recommendation keeps reappearing.

Any ideas how to prevent this annoyance?
