[RSS Feed/News] Want to add "new posts" outside the XF install folder (on home page)

My XF forum is located in a "forums" folder like this: www.example.com/forums/

My home page is www.example.com/index.html

I'd like to show "new posts" or other similar widgets on my home page, which is not a XF page.
