Which AI clients are supported?
Any client that speaks the Servio Protocol or the Model Context Protocol — Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf and others. The add-on publishes a standard manifest; the client does the rest.
Is this secure?
Authentication is OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, so the member approves access explicitly and no password is shared. Every call requires a valid bearer token, and every result passes through XenForo's own permission checks — an agent cannot see anything the connected account could not already see. Members can revoke their own tokens at any time.
Do I need an API key or an external service?
No. Everything runs on your own server.
Can an agent post or change anything?
Not with this add-on. It is read-only by design. Writing is handled by the separate Pro add-on, and even there every action runs as the connected member under their existing permissions.
Is a Pro version available?
Yes, it is available now. It adds 67 tools covering posting, moderation, engagement, conversations, attachments and forum discovery.
