If you create a custom user field with a numeric value, the custom user field will not be found using 'Search for users' or 'Batch update users'.
Steps to reprocude:
Create a new Custom user field with ID = 100 and Title = Test:
Login as a normal user and enter a value for the new custom user field Test.
In ACP, search for users and enter the same value for the custom field.
It should return the user, but instead the result will be empty.
