We're currently in the process of migrating away from VPS attached storage due to our storage needs exceeding the needs of the rest of our resources by a price factor of 6-8.
We are trying to figure out what expectations are reasonable for I/O performance on S3 storage, vs block storage. Our host's block storage is $0.10/GB/month, but S3 storage through Backblaze B2 is only $0.005/GB/Month, literally 95% cheaper.
