We are working a new system to get rid of our massive forum index and turning to other sites that we have seen doing well with just a few huge sections [NeoGAF, ResetEra]. There are other examples of this format doing really well but I can't think of the others off the top of my head. IMO, the problem with these formats is finding what you actually need.
