[RSS Feed/News] Side-nav for Forum List and What's New on opposite sides. Why?

Is there a reason?

On the main Forum List page, the side-nav is on the right side.

On the "What's New" page, the side-nav is on the left.

Follow-up question: Is there a setting that can change where the side-nav appears?
